General Questions
1. What is a Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP)?
Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) is a secure Microsoft technology that allows you to connect to and control another computer over the internet. It provides a familiar Windows graphical interface, enabling you to work just as you would on your own PC but with the power and connectivity of our servers.
2. What is the setup time for my RDP?
- Shared RDP Plans (Starter, Basic, Admin, etc.): Your login details are typically delivered instantly after payment. However, during peak periods or in rare cases, it may take up to 4-6 hours.
- Private RDP/VPS & Dedicated Servers: The setup process is more involved and generally takes between 1-4 hours, with a maximum of 24 hours in some cases.
3. What activities are strictly prohibited?
All our services must be used for lawful purposes only. Activities like hacking, bruteforcing, cryptocurrency mining, mass mailing (on non-spamming plans), and hosting illegal content are strictly forbidden. For a complete list of rules, please review our Terms of Service and RDP Usage Rules & Plan Guide.
Shared RDP Plans (Starter, Basic)
1. What does “Shared RDP” mean?
A Shared RDP means you are using a server where resources like CPU and RAM are shared among several users. However, your personal files, folders, and activities are completely private and cannot be seen or accessed by other users.
2. What are the limitations of Starter & Basic RDP?
These are our entry-level plans and do not come with admin rights. This means you cannot install software yourself. However, you can open a support ticket to request our team to install any application for you, provided it complies with our usage policies.
3. Do Shared RDP plans come with pre-installed software?
Yes! To get you started right away, all our Shared RDP plans come with essential software pre-installed, including:
- Google Chrome & Microsoft Edge
- Internet Download Manager (IDM)
- uTorrent & JDownloader
- FileZilla FTP (Client & Server)
- VLC Media Player & K-Lite Codec Pack
- Notepad++
- And many more!
Admin RDP Plans
1. What makes the Admin RDP plan different?
The Admin RDP plan grants you “limited admin” privileges. This allows you to install most applications yourself using the “Run as Administrator” function, which isn’t possible on Starter or Basic plans. To protect server stability, you cannot modify core system settings or manage other user accounts.
2. Can I add more storage to my RDP plan?
Yes! You can add up to 500 GB of extra storage to your plan. You can select storage add-ons when placing your order or contact our support team to add it later.
Private RDP / VPS
1. What is a Private RDP/VPS?
A Private RDP or VPS is a virtual server dedicated entirely to you. None of the resources are shared, and you get full administrator access, allowing you to install any software and manage the environment as if it were your own personal computer.
2. What can I do on a Private RDP?
You can host websites (using XAMPP, etc.), run traffic bots, perform live streaming, use VPN/proxy software, and much more. It offers maximum flexibility for your projects.
3. Are there any limitations on a Private RDP?
Yes, a few key rules still apply. You cannot add extra user accounts without paying the $5 fee (contact support). Illegal activities like hacking and cryptocurrency mining are still strictly forbidden. For legitimate mass mailing, please use our designated Spamming RDP.
4. Can I run emulators or virtual machines (VMs) on a Private RDP/VPS?
No. Since a VPS is already a virtualized environment, running another layer of virtualization (like VMWare, Hyper-V, or Android emulators like BlueStacks) is not supported and will not work. For this functionality, you need one of our Dedicated Servers.
Dedicated Servers
1. What is a Dedicated Server?
A Dedicated Server is a physical machine rented exclusively by a single customer. You have full control over all the server’s hardware resources and can perform any task, including running virtual machines, emulators, and hosting complex applications. The only restrictions are against illegal activities.
2. Can I choose my operating system (OS)?
Absolutely. You can request to have any standard OS installed, including various versions of Windows Server or Linux distributions (like Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.).
3. Is virtualization allowed on a Dedicated Server?
Yes. This is the ultimate solution for users who need to run emulators (BlueStacks, NoxPlayer) or virtual machine software (VMWare, VirtualBox, Hyper-V).
